Disclosures
How Guided by Grace is compensated, the conflicts of interest that result, and the scope of our introductions.
Last updated June 25, 2026
Guided By Grace, LLC (“Guided by Grace,” “we,” “us”) is a Catholic stewardship initiative and educational resource. This page explains who we are, how we are compensated, the conflicts of interest that result, our affiliations, and the limits of what our introductions mean. Read it together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. We will also give you full written disclosure of any compensation that applies to your situation before any engagement with an introduced professional begins.
Not legal, financial, medical, or tax advice
Guided by Grace is not a law firm, a registered investment adviser, a broker-dealer, an insurance agency, or an accounting firm. The information on this site and in our materials is educational and general in nature. It is not legal, financial, investment, tax, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
Using this site, contacting us, requesting a match, or downloading a resource does not create an attorney-client, advisory, fiduciary, or any other professional relationship with Guided by Grace, with either of its founders, or with any professional we introduce. You should not act on anything here without first consulting a professional licensed in your state.
Our Trusted Catholic Advisor introductions
When you request a match, we introduce you to vetted, Catholic-aligned professionals: financial advisors and estate planning attorneys. We do not employ or supervise these professionals, and most operate at their own firms.
Our certification confirms only that a professional met our published Trusted Catholic Advisor criteria at the time of certification and at our annual re-vetting. It is not a background check, an endorsement of any specific advice, or a guarantee of suitability, performance, or results. Other than that annual re-vetting, we do not monitor a professional’s ongoing conduct. Please conduct your own due diligence before engaging anyone. Any engagement you enter into is solely between you and that professional, on their terms.
How we are compensated: referral fees
Guided by Grace is a promoter under the SEC Marketing Rule (Rule 206(4)-1 under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940). That means when we introduce you to a financial advisor or other professional, we may be compensated for that introduction. We want you to understand this clearly and up front.
We may receive a referral fee or other compensation from a professional or firm in connection with certain introductions and programs. Because we are paid in connection with introductions, we have a financial incentive to recommend the professionals in our network, including a financial incentive to make an introduction at all. This is a material conflict of interest. Our compensation is paid by the professional or firm, not added to your bill by us; however, you should ask any professional you engage how they are compensated and whether our referral affects what you pay.
The form and amount of this compensation can vary by professional, firm, and program, such as a fee for an introduction or an ongoing arrangement tied to services you receive. Rather than estimate figures here that may not match your situation, we provide the specific compensation that applies to you in writing before any engagement begins, so you can review the actual terms before you decide.
Before you begin any engagement with a professional we introduce, you will receive full written disclosure of any compensation arrangement that applies, so you can make an informed decision. If you have any questions about how we are paid in your situation, email us at hello@guidedbygrace.com.
Affiliations and related-party conflicts
Some firms in our network are affiliated with our founders. Our co-founders are Laura K. Meier, Esq., and Shannon Eusey. Shannon Eusey is a co-founder and Board Chair of Beacon Pointe; Laura K. Meier is associated with Meier Law Firm. When we introduce you to a firm affiliated with a founder, that affiliation is itself a conflict of interest, separate from any referral fee, because our founders may benefit from the relationship.
We disclose these relationships so you can weigh them. You are always free to choose a professional outside our network, to seek a second opinion, and to negotiate the terms of any engagement directly with the professional.
Testimonials, endorsements, and recognition
Any client experiences, quotations, awards, or recognition shown on this site are presented for educational and informational purposes. They reflect the experience of the individuals involved and are not a guarantee of any future result. Where a person sharing an experience has a relationship with us or has been compensated, that fact is disclosed at the point it appears. Recognition and credentials describe past events and do not predict outcomes for any family.
No guarantees of results
Nothing on this site is a promise or guarantee of any particular legal, financial, investment, tax, or estate planning outcome. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal, and past performance does not guarantee future results. Estate planning and tax outcomes depend on your individual facts and on laws that change over time.
Catholic teaching and imprimaturs
Guided by Grace strives to reflect Catholic moral teaching, including the USCCB Socially Responsible Investment Guidelines. References to an imprimatur apply only to the specific work that carries it, such as a book, and indicate that the named work was reviewed and found free of doctrinal or moral error by the granting authority. An imprimatur is not an endorsement of Guided by Grace, of any professional we introduce, or of any financial or investment product, and it does not extend to advice you receive.
Third-party content and links
Our materials may reference or link to third-party websites, tools, or content that we do not control. We provide these for convenience and do not endorse, and are not responsible for, their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Your use of any third-party site is subject to that site’s own terms.
